Q:
How does it work?
A: Through the power of the voice and your own intent,
the busy part of your mind is relaxed, opening the door to your inner
world, the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is a very powerful
part of your self and it is here that we hold our belief systems.
Once relaxed the subconscious mind takes on board the suggestions
for change that we have discussed before hand. Once we change what
we believe about ourselves, we then create the change in our lives
that support that belief.
Q: Will I remember everything?
A: For the most part yes. However, there are several different layers to the
trance state. The deeper you go the more you relax, so it is possible to relax
so much that you dont recall all that is said to you. However it is important
to note that you will only go as deep as far as you are comfortable. If you are
uneasy you will go into a light trance state.
Q: Will I reveal any deep dark secrets?
A: Only if it is what you want to do. As all hypnosis is self-hypnosis you have
to go along with the treatment. You do have a guard that will stand
watch so that you do not go into any place you are not ready to or say anything
you are not ready to.
Q: Am I under your power?
A: No. As stated above in order for you to be hypnotised you need
to be willing.
Q: Will I fall asleep?
A: If you are really relaxed it has been known to happen.
But not to worry I am able to continue even to the melodic drone of snoring.
One client snored deeply through the whole treatment but afterwards was
able to repeat exactly what I said.
Q: What will I feel like directly after the treatment?
A: You will feel very relaxed, positive and comfortable in
yourself, with a good nights sleep to follow.
Q: Will I be able to drive afterwards?
A: Yes
Q: How long is a session?
A: An hour.
Q: What can I expect to happen in that time?
A: Always the first part of the session we discuss what is
going on with you. Hypnotherapy also incorporates counselling, as it
is important for you to understand what is going on with you in order
to change it. Also, it helps me to devise a personalised script and update
it as you progress. Then the hypnosis, in which you can either sit in
a chair or lie on a couch.
Q: How many sessions do
I need?
A: This is a difficult question to answer, as it is dependent
on the client and the issue. Certainly with phobias or habit breaking
I have had success with only one or two treatments. Whatever the time,
even with just a single session you will benefit considerably. Why? Because
it is what you want. The success of the treatment is determined by the
intent of the client.
Q: Are there any side
effects?
Q:No. Again hypnosis is a very natural state of mind. We
are using this state to help you heal yourself.
Q:What about stopping smoking? Does it work?
A: Hypnotherapy is very effective way to quit smoking. I have
a high success rate, with the majority quitting on the first session.
The minority which do not, do cut down to only a few cigarettes in
the following week and as they smoke, wonder why. Often those few
are snubbed out before they are finished because the desire has gone.
Those that quit on the first time, on their second visit it is strengthened.
With the clients who have cut down, realising they no longer want
to smoke, easily quit on the second visit.
What is required is the desire to quit. With Hypnotherapy we are
able to magnify this desire and connect you to your determination
and will power. When this decision to break the habit is affirmed
under hypnosis clients just feel really good. Not only have they
let to of the habit but also the conflict about smoking that has
troubled them for some time. Through Hypnosis you are able to break
the connection to cigarettes and at the same time incorporate positive
change. It is not just a habit. What makes this work so effective
is we are able to look below the habit and discover what cigarettes
actually give you so you are really aware of what you are letting
go. Knowledge is a powerful tool.
When one quits with patches or drugs they have not utilised the power
of the subconscious mind. When we add this strength with our own
determination, our whole being is in agreement. Therefor any withdrawal
symptoms are minimal. In fact the majority report they have no problem
what so ever and just feel very positive and energised.
You have a choice either to work with me personally or to quit within
a small group (5 maximum). Many find that as they started in a group,
it feels really natural to have that group awareness and support
to quit. They report that often as smokers these days they feel really
isolated. To understand this habit with the camaraderie of others,
takes away their awkwardness about giving up. They feel more at ease.
However, it is your choice. A group is formed when there are enough
interested who want to quit in this manner. The fee is the same.
The success with these sessions is in the investigated work, therefor
the fee reflects the skill. The fee to stop smoking with Hypnosis
is £140 for two sessions. As I can respect it is a difficult
decision to make I request a deposit of £70 payable before
your first session with the balance payable on your first session.
( If you should want any further sessions the fee is £37 per
session). Please make checks out to Cindy Hurn.
